LifetimeLighting
The system

Invisible by day. Yours by night.

One channel, one light, one app. Here's what actually goes on the house.

Lifetime Lighting installs a permanent RGBW lighting system: 30mm LED pucks set at 12-inch spacing inside an aluminium channel. The channel mounts under the soffit and behind the fascia, so the lights are hidden from the street in daylight and nothing is attached to the roof. It's controlled from your phone. Five-year warranty on the product and our craftsmanship.

The parts

Three parts, and that's the whole system.

The channel

Extruded aluminium, 3¼ inches wide, cut to your house and mounted under the soffit and behind the fascia. It holds the lights at a fixed angle and hides them completely in daylight. Twenty-plus factory colours, with touch-up paint that matches.

The lights

30mm RGBW pucks at 12-inch spacing. RGBW means a dedicated white chip alongside red, green and blue, which is why the everyday white setting looks like architectural lighting and not a party. IP68: sealed against dust and water.

The system

24 volts, where most of the market runs 12. Half the current for the same output means brightness holds even across a long run, and fewer power-injection points along the way. Controlled entirely from the app.
The voltage

Why 24 volts.

Even brightness end to end

On a 12-volt run, the lights furthest from the power supply dim first. At 24 volts that drop is a quarter of what it would be.

Fewer splices

Longer runs before power has to be injected means fewer connections in the system, and fewer places for it to fail.

Cooler wiring

Half the current means less heat in the wire.
Colour matching

The best compliment is nobody noticing.

The channel comes in more than twenty factory colours — white, linen, cameo, classic cream, matte black, dark bronze, musket brown, wicker, harbor gray, terra bronze, sand tone, evergreen and more. We bring the colour wheel to the estimate and match it against your trim in daylight. Done right, you shouldn't be able to find it from the driveway.

Indicative only — real colours matched on site

The app

Set it once, or change it every night.

Segments

Split the roofline into sections — or run multiple independently controlled zones — and give each one its own colour, brightness or pattern.

Scheduling

Daily, weekly or monthly schedules. Set the hours and forget it.

Security modes

Dedicated security lighting settings for when you're away.

Presets

73 built in, and no limit on the ones you make. There's also a music mode.

Works on iPhone, Android, or any computer.

What we don't sell

A short list, because it saves everyone time.

RGB-only systems

No dedicated white chip means the everyday setting looks wrong on cream and grey trim. We don't install them at any price point.

Adhesive-mounted strip

Tape-backed strip fails in the first freeze-thaw cycle. Everything we install is mechanically fastened inside a channel.

Subscription control

The app is included. There is no monthly fee to turn on your own lights, and there never will be.

12-volt systems

More voltage drop across a run, which shows up as dimming at the far end. We only install 24 volt.

Product questions

What does it look like during the day?

The channel mounts under the soffit and behind the fascia, so the lights are hidden from the street in daylight and nothing is attached to the roof.

What's RGBW, and why does it matter?

Red, green, blue, plus a dedicated white chip. Systems without that fourth chip fake white by firing the other three together, which reads pink or grey on cream trim. The white chip is why the everyday setting looks right.

Can I install it myself?

No — the manufacturer only sells through certified installers and won't warranty a DIY install. That's part of why the warranty is worth something.

What's the warranty?

Five years, covering both the product and our workmanship. We register the install for you at handover so the coverage is active from day one.
