Find your roof.
Five situations, and what each one actually takes. Find yours and we'll quote it.
Lifetime Lighting installs permanent LED roofline lighting on existing homes, new construction, lakefront and timber-frame houses, snow-country roofs and commercial buildings across northern Idaho.
Existing homes
The channel mounts under the soffit and behind the fascia on the house you already have. Nothing gets opened up.
Plan for: a walk-around before we quote — dormers, returns and porch roofs are where the footage goes.
New construction
Get us in before trim goes on and the whole system disappears into the detailing.
Plan for: getting us on the plans early.
Lakefront & timber-frame
Deep overhangs, exposed rafter tails, heavy trim. Beautiful, and never a straight line anywhere.
Plan for: a custom channel run and a longer design conversation.
Steep pitch & snow country
Nothing hangs below the roof edge, so there's nothing for snow to catch on.
Plan for: a standard install.
Commercial & multi-family
Storefronts, offices, self-storage, apartments. Zone control lets a manager light buildings independently.
Plan for: colour matching to your brand.
Application questions
Can this go on a house that's already built?
Yes — the large majority of our work is retrofit on existing homes. Nothing needs to come apart. The channel mounts under the soffit and behind the fascia, so the lights are hidden from the street in daylight and nothing is attached to the roof.
What about a home under construction?
Better, and usually cheaper. If we're in before trim goes on, the channel integrates into the detailing and the run disappears entirely.
We're in an HOA. Is that a problem?
Rarely, because in daylight there is nothing to see. We provide a spec sheet, channel colour samples and a rendering you can submit to your architectural committee. We've been approved in most North Idaho covenanted communities.
Not sure which of these is your house?
Send us the address. We'll look at the roofline, tell you what it needs, and give you a number.
