Put the lights up once. Leave them up for good.
Architectural-grade LED lighting, set into a hidden channel along your roofline, controlled from your phone. Warm white on a Tuesday. Red and green in December. Nothing to hang, nothing to take down, no ladder in January.
- Licensed & insured in Idaho
- Installed in one day
- 5-year warranty
From first call to lights on, in about two weeks.
Lifetime Lighting installs permanent LED architectural lighting on homes and businesses across northern Idaho. The channel mounts under the soffit and behind the fascia, so the lights are hidden from the street in daylight and nothing is attached to the roof. RGBW diodes in that channel, controlled from an app. It is installed once, stays year-round, and replaces both holiday lights and exterior accent lighting.

Not all permanent lighting is the same.
Most of what's sold around here is the same 12-volt kit under a different name. Here's where ours differs.
- 24-volt system — half the current of a 12-volt run for the same output, so brightness stays even from the first light to the last
- Fewer power-injection points, which means fewer splices and fewer places to fail
- RGBW: a dedicated white chip, so warm white is actually warm white
- True everyday whites, not a colour approximation
- Hidden channel under the soffit and behind the fascia — invisible from the street in daylight
- Channel colour-matched to your trim from 20+ factory colours, with matching touch-up paint
- IP68 sealed against dust and water
- Five-year warranty on the product and our craftsmanship
- Certified installers only. No DIY kits, no untrained crews
- No subscription to control your own lights
- 12 volts, so twice the current for the same output and more voltage drop across a long run
- Noticeable dimming at the far end of a run unless power is injected repeatedly
- RGB only — white is faked by firing red, green and blue together
- Everyday white reads pink or blue-grey on cream and grey trim
- Often surface-mounted or clipped where you can see it
- Limited channel colours, or no channel at all
- Lower ingress ratings
- Warranties commonly measured in single-digit years
- Sold as DIY kits, or installed by whoever is cheapest that week
- Some charge monthly for app access
We'll tell you honestly: at a short run on a small house, you may not see the difference. On a 150-foot run you will.

North Idaho, and only North Idaho.
We are based in Post Falls and we don't travel outside the region, which is the whole point. If something goes wrong in February, the person who installed your system is twenty minutes away, not in another state.

- Sandpoint and the Lake Pend Oreille shoreline

Questions we get before the estimate
How much does permanent roofline lighting cost in North Idaho?
Most single-family homes in northern Idaho land between $3,500 and $9,000 installed, priced by linear foot of covered roofline plus the controller and any peaks, dormers or detached structures you want included. A 150-foot ranch is near the bottom of that range; a two-story home with a wraparound porch and a shop is near the top. We measure on site and give you an itemized number before anything is ordered.
Can you see the lights during the day?
Barely. The channel mounts under the soffit and behind the fascia, so the lights are hidden from the street in daylight and nothing is attached to the roof.
Does anything attach to the roof?
No. The channel mounts under the soffit and behind the fascia, so the lights are hidden from the street in daylight and nothing is attached to the roof.
Do the lights work in Idaho winters?
The fixtures are IP68 rated — sealed against dust and water. The channel mounts under the soffit and behind the fascia, so nothing is attached to the roof, and it stays up all winter.
How long does the installation take?
One day for most homes. A larger property with multiple structures can run into a second day. We pull our own permits where the jurisdiction requires them and leave the site cleaner than we found it.
Can I still hang traditional Christmas lights?
You can, but almost nobody does after the first season. The system produces every colour you'd buy a string of, plus warm white for the other eleven months, and it's already up.
